David Sweet, the creative director of Dashwood Studio, recently asked me if I’d like to make something from one of their new fabric collections, for their display stand at the upcoming Craft, Hobby & Stitch Int. Show (NEC). Well, of course I jumped at the chance to try out these lovely new prints and am so pleased that something I’ve made will be included in their display. So exciting!
A little info about the fabric designer: Bethan Janine loves to draw, combining delicate line work and bold colours to create her patterns. She is inspired by nature and all things flora and fauna, her collection ‘Wildwood’ was influenced by her surroundings of leafy Yorkshire, taking woodland walks and gathering leaves to draw in her sketch book.
This is what I designed and made from the Wildwood fabrics, of course it had to be a bag! (ps – I’m working on the sewing pattern for this new bag design, which will be available very soon.)
Dashwood Studio will be displaying the new Wildwood fabric collection, along with my bag and other fabulous makes from contributing crafters at The Craft, Hobby and Stitch International Show at the NEC
